The recent release of LookdevX 1.3 has introduced the MaterialX data model. In this tutorial, Yingying will walk you through the MaterialX workflow and show you some of the new UI features. LookdevX is a material authoring plugin for Maya. It allows you to graph shading networks and create materials in both USD and MaterialX data model. With LookdevX, you can efficiently build materials that work across multiple renderers.
