English translation of the text is by Ani Toroyan (Անի Թորոյան). Armenian folk dance-song “Jur kuger“ (Water comes), performed by “Akunq“ ensemble. It was sung in Mokq and Shatakh Regions and Vozm Village of Historical Armenia. Կարդա հայերեն (in Armenian): It is a nice, lively dance-song, the quatrains of which can be changed by performers’ will but the refrain remains unaltered. The singer is thought to be a young girl who is in love. She describes the nature of her native land: a mountain spring, flowing down, babbling, passing marble stones, continues its way through fields and villages. Suddenly she notices her beloved and exclaims joyfully that he comes to her jumping happily like a babbling stream. Soon a horseman appears on top of a mountain and rides down so rapidly as if an eagle flew down crossing the mountain air. Then another one appears, his face radiating with sun rays.
