An original solo guitar work designed as an exploration of an unusual tuning (6=F, 4=C#) and the harmonies the tuning suggests. Written in two movements, this first one has some unusual chords and complex figuration but is lyrical, even romantic at its core. While bouncing back and forth between F and A, it reveals itself finally as residing in the key of Bb minor. I especially like the final chord--such an interesting sonority on guitar.
