Today I glue up some staves that do not line up in the middle. Staves are similar to segments. It is all about grain direction. Making a glue up with segments or staves that do not line up in the middle can make an interesting look. They are glued up tangent to a larger diameter on top and a smaller one on the bottom. The idea came from an article in a American Wood Turner magazine How I use abrasive paste: Tools Used: Robert Sorby bowl gouges Negative Rake Scrapers Parting tool Dovetail tool Finishes used: Minwax lacquer sanding sealer Deft Spray lacquer Acks Abrasive Paste and Polish/Restoring Paste If you found this video entertaining Please Like and Subscribe and Share if you are inclined The video is for entertainment purposes only Look up other turnings I have done: Dizzy Twister Turnings Segmented Turnings Feature Rings Staves 20 m
