Welcome to this practice - a relatively fast paced action packed sequence that brings strength and vibrancy. Perfect for right now when Covid 19 confinement combined with anxiety of 'what comes next' might be making us feel a bit low. Allowing ourselves to be guided through this stimulating journey, each asana flowing into the next, connecting all the dots for us so that, no matter what, we emerge more vibrant than we were before. The practice starts with a classical Iyengar style warm up (Adho Mukha hands to wall, Adho Mukha heels to wall, Marichyasana III with wall, Adho Mukka Vrksasana and Pincha Mayurasana) before moving into active Surya Namaskar Cycles interspersed with Virabhadarana I, Parsvottanasana, Pigeon Poses, Supta Virasanas and Paryankasanas. We then transition into a sequence of twists (Pasasana, Ardha Matsyendrasana and Marichyasana III) within the context of Usturasana explorations, first with the pubic bone to the wall and then with the forehead to the wall.
