Let's continue with my hatetrain for underwater stages XD Although, this stage in the remake is slightly easier. Sure, it has anglerfish mid-bosses with a mouthguard thing that you can knock down by destroying the... light thingy, how is it called actually? I am no marine biologist. I also found it difficult to get on Utuboros' back, but other than that, this stage is easier. Again, probably because of the order of playthrough and because Launcher Octopult is actually easier here. If I remember correctly, I didn't even get hit once during this fight (one and ONLY fight. I've beaten him on my first try and I'm so proud). Here you can see that I'm finally realised that I deed to use the weapons I got from bosses not just to destroy the next boss and move on, but also to make my job easier. If I remember correctly, I didn't really realise this in my X1 playthrough, but at least I got it now. So, Launcher Octopult. This thing says “watashi“ when talking about himself, so... I'll need to call this particular reincarnation with undentified pronouns. They're said to be really intellectional and actually disliking humans long before Sigma decided to start the rebellion (which, as it turns out, is untrue in the remake. Thanks for keeping his real reason in the Free Play Mode, Capcom. That real reason was “to embrace their more artistic form of combat without even hinting at misanthropy“), but I hate his voice so much that I actually kinda like it, believe me or not. Octopult even got me when they said “X-kun“, jeez XDDD Octopult here actually can get stunned, so here I'm exclusively using Rolling Shield which makes them much easier comeparing to their original X1 incarnation. Next up is a stag beetle. Here goes the part of the game I haven't really seen before at all.
