For the translation, be sure to turn on the captions! X2's translation was done by keekiyasan. I took it from his personal blog since he allowed me to do so. Check the man out! --------------------- I need some rest from my other projects, really. And now, when I've beaten Monster Boy and the Cursed Kingdom yesterday's night (awesome game, btw. The first Metroidvania I managed to beat from beginning to the end. Sorry Zero-series, you'll probably be the second one), the only escape I managed to find was to go through X2 for the first time in... ever! Sorry for my gameplay not being as fast and good as in my latter playthroughs of X8, X1 and IHX near their finales. So... I need to tell you something. I know absolutely nothing about X2 aside from it having two endings, Sagesse and the global quest of rebuilding Zero piece by piece that affects the plot. I will need to learn more about Counter-Hunters (or X-Hunters) soon too, although I think I'll learn everything I need through actually experiencing X2. I already know what Sagesse probably is 'cuz theories. The game starts half a year after X1. Irregulars are still an issue and X has been promoted to a Commander of 17th Elite Unit (whose previous commander was Sigma) in order to finally stop them once and for all. Also, yeah, even when the cause of irregularities is still unknown, now we know that repliroids can naturally be born as Irregulars. Zero can be put in that category but he's the only one who was able to become normal after that. This game has the first ever mention of the Irregular Virus by the way (I've read that while editing this video thanks for one of the bosses literally having an attack called like that), so I guess the truth will soon surface for the world to see. Back on track, X and another Irregular Hunter (I've experienced his death three times because I'm that bad at the game and my hands are still feeling pain after playing through Rhythm Heaven Fever again) go to the factory where Irregulars are being manifactured. They get attacked and, yes, only X manages to survive. The Intro Stage of X2 is REALLY short. I thought it was going to be a bit longer. The only trouble I had with it was that Mechaniloid that tries to crush the player with walls - my first death in entire game happened here. Also this boss is in X DiVE. How is it called again?.. Oh, right, The Gigantic Mechaniloid CF-0. Gosh, I like how smooth it moves here! Is it because of SuperFX Chip? Because I've seen other “cool 3D effects“ here already, plus in X1, but they were not as smooth. The Gigantic Mechaniloid CF-0 likes to jump and move around. This might be troublesome too because his background sprites can damage you. But the boss dies rather quickly with Charge Shots. And I can't stop laughing at this poor thing having hands this short. DiVE actually made it look more bearable. After X apparently stops this factory from creating more Irregulars, a scene with three mysterious figures occurs. I actually like how X2 looks more cinematic than the previous title, it's so amazing. Anyway, those mysterious figures are talking about X being impressingly strong even on his own. This makes them realise that they must hurry with completing their own repliroid whose strenth will be able to rival X... Can you already guess who that is?
