Talk about a throwback, haha. This tutorial was my second video tutorial for Blender. We’re talking July 2014 here, hahaha. For the sake of giving the video a proper date, I selected 9 July 2014, because that’s the date on one of the edit files, so it’s the closest I got, haha. Anyway, in this tutorial, I show you how to do a sun glare as well as make physical grass to put on a plane, instead of strands. Do note that this is an old tutorial and that Cycles strands do have the support to actually be textured, so this is not like THE authority on making grass - just a method you can use. Same with the sun glare. It is amazingly quick to have this sun-glare as a default node. I will add, for the sun glare effect to be a node, make it have two exports - one the glare only and one the image with the glare. Usually when I use it these days, I only take the glare itself out of the node, so I have more control over the final amount on the image. Hope this is a blessing to you as much as it was a blessing to me for GOD to get me out of the boat and do a speaking video tutorial! Check out Blender: Biggest thanx to GOD for helping me with this. Without HIM, none of this would be possible! :D Know JESUS yet? Have a great one!!! Thank YOU!!!!!!
