This is a very quick tutorial on how to do reflections more catered to anime style renders. I still have quite a few of these I’d like to do, of various lengths, that will help you get to the results you are looking for sooner, rather than later :D! PS, sorry about the spelling error in the video... There are no tutorials for water relfections, hahaha. CGT Files - Eevee updated too: I’ve looked at some reflections and frankly, Blender can’t produce the exact kind of reflections I would’ve liked. When animating by hand, you can easily leave out or doctor certain things to give you a specific result without even thinking about it. In anime, for example, when water is drawn with reflections, the reflections don’t create any sort of shading or specularity on the water, yet the water still has specularity and distortion. Because Blender works the way it does, this is not gonna happen unless you fake the reflection with objects that are shadeless. Frankly, most of us are not going down that route and tbh, some of the best art work in the anime style, has both specularity and turbulance shadows as well, so this is actually a step to, for lack of a better term, set a new standard for quality in video. GOD did not have to work long with me on this, thankfully. It was pretty much just applying the cloud texture and moving it. For rivers that bend, which HE obviously knew some of you would want to do and would need help with texturing and moving, so it was actually my very first Blender Video tutorial. For winding rivers, check this out: (Sorry about the sound) Just interpret this for the result you want. You do not always need transparency for anime reflections - when you don’t turn it off, haha. For some render speed up tips for Blender Render users: Bridge Model - Was just something I was lead to model a while back. Didn’t use any reference or anything. Just got the image and I modelled. You can also see the bridge feature in this tutorial: Check out Blender: Biggest thanx to GOD for helping me with this. Without HIM, none of this would be possible! :D Know JESUS yet? Have a great one!!! Thank YOU!!!!!!
