Then in civvies he makes his inspection of a tank unit from the top of a Covenantor tank. He moves along the line of tanks, then takes the salute as tanks and aircraft go past in formation. Mr Churchill then pays a visit to a munitions factory, accompanied by Australian Minister of External Affairs, Dr Herbert Evatt.
