Zelensky echoing Churchill likens war in Russia to Britain's efforts in WW2 (speech in English)

Ukraine’s president Volodymyr Zelensky addressed British MPs in the Commons via video link with a speech that echoed that of former UK Prime Minister Winston Churchill. In his speech to UK MPs, Mr Zelensky said: “We will not give up, and we will not lose. We will fight to the end in the sea, in the air. We will fight for our land, whatever the costs. We will fight in the forests, in the fields, on the shores, in the streets.“ The speech references one of former British Prime Minster Winston Churchill’s great wartime speeches, which was also delivered in the Commons. Ahead of his statement, MPs gave a standing ovation to President Volodymyr Zelensky. Then, in a powerful statement, Mr Zelenskyy likened the war with Russia to Britain's efforts in World War II.
