#Dalpalak is a healthy spinach dal dish made of lentils and palak. It is delicious serve with rice or roti. Ingredients Quantity For Boiling Dal. Toor dal 1 cup Moong dal ½ cup Masur dal ½ cup Turmeric powder 1 tsp Salt to taste Water 3 cups For Masala. Oil 4 tbsp Asfoetida ½ tsp Cumin seeds 1 tsp Whole dry red chilli 3 no’s Garlic chopped 1 tbsp Ginger chopped 1 tbsp Green chilli chopped 3 no’s Onion chopped 2 no’s Tomatoes chopped 2 no’s Salt as required Coriander powder 1 tbsp Red chilli powder 1 tsp Garam masala powder 1 tsp Cumin powder 1 tsp. For Dal Palak 1st Way. Spinach Chopped ½ bunch Ghee 2 tbsp for drizzle Boiled dal ½ Coriander chopped 1 tbsp Sprig for garnish Lemon juice ½ wedge. For Dal Palak 2nd Way. Prepared masala Spinach puree 1 cup Boiled dal Lemon ½ wedge. For Tempering. Ghee 3 tbsp Garlic chopped 1 tbsp Method:- For Boiling Dal:- 1. Take a Borosil stainless steel pressure cooker and add toor, moong & masur dal, turmeric powder, salt & water and cook till 4 whistle. For Masala:- 1. Heat up a Borosil triply kadai and add oil, asafoetida, cumin seeds and whole dry red chilli temper the cumin until its turns brown in colour. 2. Then add garlic, ginger and green chilli chopped mix well and saute for few sec. 3. Now add onion chopped mix well and saute till translucent. 4. Further add tomatoes chopped mix it well. 5. Then add salt and saute for 2-3 mins. 6. Now add coriander, red chilli, garam masala & cumin powder mix well and saute for 4-5 mins. 7. Then keep half the masala in another Borosil triply kadai for further use. For Dal Palak 1st Way:- 1. In that same masala kadai add chopped spinach mix well and saute for few sec. 2. Now add ghee mix well and saute for few sec. 3. Further add half of the boiled dal mix well and cook for 10 mins. 4. Lastly add coriander chopped and lemon juice mix it well. 5. Remove in a Borosil serving bowl. 6. Garnish with coriander sprig & drizzle of ghee. 7. Serve immediately. For Dal Palak 2nd Way. 1. In a reserved masala kadai add spinach puree and mix it well. 2. Now add rest of the boiled dal mix well and cook for 5-6 mins. 3. Further add lemon juice and mix it well. 4. Remove in a Borosil serving bowl. 5. Lastly pour the tempered garlic on dal. 6. Serve immediately. For Tempering. 1. Heat up a Borosil Vajra non-stick frying pan add ghee and garlic chopped. 2. Saute till its turns light brown in colour. Borosil Products used.
