A saddlebill stork and African sacred ibis stealthily forage for fish, frogs, and other prey in the freshwater wetlands of Maasai Mara, Kenya. The saddlebill easily stands out from other wading birds with a height up to 5 ft, wingspan at nearly 9 ft., colorful banded beak and pink-knobbed knees. Hunting alongside it are the smaller sacred ibis, white-feathered birds, referred to and worshipped as “Thoth“ by the ancient Egyptians. © 2018 Wildlife Protection Solutio
