A Saddle-Billed Stork was foraging peacefully in a muddy pond near Satara Rest Camp in Kruger National Park, unaware that an opportunistic African Fish Eagle was watching him. After missing a couple of fish he finally caught a reasonable size Barbel. While the Stork was positioning the fish to enable him to swallow it, the Fish Eagle swooped down and grabbed the hard earned fish, leaving a disgusted Saddle-Billed Stork behind. This phenomenon is known as kleptoparasitism which is a method of feeding where an animal deliberately takes food from another animal.
