I do not say release me from the cage Take my cage to a garden and make my heart happy The flower season is passing, O creation of God For once, sit in a garden and remember me O nightingales, red flowers entered the fields Shout your encouragement to their arrival Remember this prisoner bird, O birds You witness the flowers, tulips and happiness Whoever has a bird held captive in a cage Take it to a garden and free it in my memory So what if my poor nest burns in fire Think about the destruction of the hunter's house Don't be amazed if the candle is killed by wind Remember the butterfly that exists on wind Mount Behistun is on the way, away Shirin Bring her sad news to Farhad's heart Cruelty and oppression shorten youth’s life O elders of this nation, fix this God's land From your oppression, house of ant is destroyed The corner of prison ruin has become Bahar's fate Be thankful for your God-given freedom and treasure Mohammad-Taqi Bahar (Persian: محمدتقی بهار; also romanized as Mohammad-Taqī Bahār; 10 December 1886 in Mashhad – 22 April 1951 in Tehran), widely known as Malek osh-Sho'arā (Persian: ملک‌الشعراء) and Malek osh-Sho'arā Bahār (“poet laureate,“ literally: the king of poets), was a renowned Iranian poet, scholar, politician, journalist, historian and Professor of Literature. Although he was a 20th-century poet, his poems are fairly traditional in character. #farsi #poem #poetry #persian #فارسی #اشعار #bahar Narration: Shaheed Khatibi
