When you practice a lot of kicking (or high kicks), it's very important you do dynamic stretching to work on the flexibility and mobility of your hips and legs. Almost every kick in Hapkido (or other martial arts like taekwondo or karate) has its equal in dynamic stretching. For me it's a standard part of my warming up. Apart from flexibility it is also a good exercise for body structure, balance and timing.
