The protesters expressed their opposition to Blinken's upcoming visit, which is schedule following his visit to Israel. Blinken is in Israel for the third time since the latest Israel-Hamas war began and also plans to visit the Jordanian capital, Amman. It follows President Joe Biden's suggestion for a humanitarian “pause” in the fighting. The aim would be to let in aid for Palestinians and let out more Palestinians who hold foreign passports and wounded. During Friday's demonstration, the protesters also voiced their support for Palestinians amid the war.
