How did Toyotomi Hideyoshi, born of the son of a peasant-foot soldier, achieve the prestigious position of Imperial Regent (Kanpaku) of Japan, and build Osaka Castle spending 14 years to complete along with rebuilding of many temples in Kyoto? The video, “TOYOTOMI HIDEYOSHI AND OSAKA CASTLE” briefly explains Hideyoshi's early life, service under his lord Nobunaga, construction of Osaka Castle, and establishment of the Toyotomi dynasty. The video presented by The Sueno Yoshida Foundation, videotaped in Osaka, Japan by Dr. Mieko Davey. Also, the background music, “The Fall of Osaka Castle” for this video was dedicated in memory of Mrs. Sueno Yoshida, and was composed by Dr. Davey.
