Here is the next episode in the brief Spring of ’67 back-to-back episodes that I have. If you watched this one on VH1 back in the 90’s (like me), how many of the dancers did you know back then? Look how far we’ve come. As you can probably notice, I had to sort-of cobble this one together from various copies and other YT sources, but most of what aired on VH1 is here. I think “Mirage” got cut off by whoever taped this on their VCR and I don’t think the kids dancing to Otis Reddings’ “Shake” or the Mark Lindsay segment were ever included on this shortened episode, but I could be wrong. I had to overdub “Respect” because the original audio is b-l-o-c-k-e-d. I’ll never understand the rules here on YT. *shrug. Hopefully this won’t get blocked. Randomly: ask Alexa (Amazon) what her favorite song is. On the Billboard Hot 100 today 1) RESPECT – Aretha Franklin 2) Groovin’ – The Young Rascals 3) I Got Rhythm – The Happenings 4) Release Me – Engelbert Humperdinck 5) Creeque Alley – The Mamas & the Papas 6) Him or Me -What’s It Gonna Be – Paul Revere & the Raiders 9) Somebody to Love – Jefferson Airplane 10) All I Need – The Temptations 11) Mirage – Tommy James and the Shondells 39) Ain’t No Mountain High Enough – Marvin Gaye & Tammi Terrell We’re so close to the end of the pandemic – Please go get your “jab(s)” if you haven’t already. Thank you for watching!
