In this video, Andrew Joseph Keith walks you through the entire process for sculpting a playful Santa Claus figure using microcrystalline wax. Beginning with the wire armature, bulking it up with aluminum foil, and then shaping Santa with layers of wax. Paying extra attention to nailing Santa’s chubby look, starting with thin layers and gradually adding more. He explains why this wax is great for sculpting by hand, thanks to its unique texture and even shows how to use chamois leather for Santa’s bag.
