Join us for a behind-the-scenes look at the character creation behind “God of War: Ragnarök!“ We’re excited to welcome Senior Character Artist Angela Rico and Lead Character Artist Eric Valdes as they dive deep into their creative process for the critically acclaimed video game. Originally from Colombia, Angela graduated from Gnomon in 2018 and went on to work at Blur Studio before joining the team behind God of War: Ragnarök. Eric brings 17 years of experience in character art to his role as Lead Character Artist, having worked on God of War (2018) and now God of War: Ragnarök. Together, Angela and Eric will explore the challenges of reimagining classic characters for the game’s DLC, creating a new hero, and navigating the complexities of modern character pipelines. They’ll share sculpting techniques, decal and texture workflows, and the strategies behind bringing the cast of “God of War: Ragnarök” to life.
