Kerala Breakfast Puttu - Kadala Curry - Tea | Tasty & Healthy Breakfast

Ingredients Chickpea - 3 cup Shallots - 8 to 9 nos Onion - 2 nos Green chilli - 2 to 3 nos Curry leaves - 3 to 4 nos Coconut pieces - 1/2 cup Red chilli powder - 2 tbsp Coriander powder - 1 tbsp Turmeric powder - 1/2 tbsp Cardamom - 1 or 2 nos Cinnamon - 1 or 2 nos Fennel seed - 1 tbsp Mustard seed - 1 tsp Method Take a pan add cleaned chickpeas Then pour a sufficient amount of water for cooking. Sprinkle some salt on the chickpea cooking pan. Cover them and cook them well. Remove the lid and check whether the chickpea is well cooked or not. Then drain some chickpeas from the hot water and keep them aside. Then remove the chickpeas from the heat and set them aside. Then grind the fennel seed, cardamom and cinnamon into a fine paste and keep aside. Again, grind the cooked chickpea into a fine paste and keep it aside. Heat oil in a pan, add coconut slices, and sauté them well. Add chopped onion, shallots and green chilli. Saute them well for a few minutes. Add some curry leaves and sauté them well. Add some curry powder, like coriander powder and red chilli powder. Then add turmeric powder and ground fennel seed paste. Saute them well for a few minutes till the raw smell is completely gone. Now add the grinded chickpea paste and sauté them well. Pour some water on them and mix them well. Then add the cooked chickpeas and mix them well. Cook them well until the chickpea curry is well cooked. Remove from the fire and set aside. Heat oil in a pan add mustard seeds and let them splutter. Add dry red chilli and chopped onion. saute and fry them well. Add some curry leaves and saute and fry them well. Then remove from the fire and pour the fried ingredients into the chickpea curry pan. Combine them well. Steamed Banana Ingredients Banana - 5 to 6 nos Water - 1 ltr Method Then just cut the two edges of the banana. Heat water in a steamer and place the idli plate on it. Then we have to steam the banana for 10 to 12 minutes. Remove the lid and check whether the skin of the banana is starting to split in places. Remove the steamed banana and allow it to cool. Steamed rice cake Ingredients Rice powder - 2 cup Grated coconut - 1 cup Salt - 1 or 2 tsp   Heat the water in a steamer. Take a bowl, add rice flour and salt and mix them well. Now we add the little by little amount of water, mix them well and set them aside. Take the puttu maker and layer it with grated coconut first. Then layer with a rice flour mix. Then layer with grated coconut. Now we have to layer with a rice flour mix. Finally, we add grated coconut and level it up. Place this mould on top of the steamer. Then cover them with the lid and cook them well. Steam passing through the lid hole shows that the puttu is cooked and ready. Then we detach the mould from the boiling water bath and push the rice cake with a long stick onto a serving plate. Pappadam Fry Ingredients Pappadam - 5 to 6 nos Oil - 1/2 ltr   Heat oil in a pan, preferably a deep one. Take the pappadams and wait till the oil is hot on a medium flame. Turn and fry both sides. Poke with a skewer, drain, and keep aside. Repeat the same step for other pappadams. Tea Ingredients Milk - 2 glass Water - 1 glass Tea powder - 2 to 3 tsp Sugar - 3 to 4 tbsp Cardamom powder - 1 tsp Method Heat milk in a pan and add crushed cardamom. Then add a sufficient amount of sugar. Add tea powder and bring to a boil. Stir and boil them well. Remove from the fire and keep a side. Drain the tea with a strainer and keep it aside. Serve the tasty healthy breakfast recipe with tea or coffee
