Female Driver Killed in Crash / Lynwood RAW FOOTAGE

LYNWOOD - A woman was killed today when her vehicle struck a guard rail on the the Long Beach (710) Freeway in the Lynwood-South Gate area, authorities said. The accident occurred around 1 a.m. at the Imperial Highway entry and exit ramps from the southbound 710, California Highway Patrol Officer Francisco Villalobos said. The victim died at the scene, he said. The crash left the victim trapped, said Los Angeles County Fire Department Supervisor Robert Diaz. The Imperial Highway entry and exit ramps were shut down this morning as an investigation was taking place, Villalobos said. There was no immediate word on when they would reopen.
