A national-level archer from Lanjigarh (Kalahandi), Odisha, Simanchal’s childhood was not rosy. The miserable state of affairs at home forced his sister to seek help at Vedanta’s Child Care Centre. Like thousands of children, Simanchal was supported by Vedanta through childhood, schooling, college and employment. Now Simanchal is the local archery coach, teaching young kids the skills of the sport, as well as training himself for the 2024 Olympics!
