X-Class Flare From Earth-Facing Region 3784 - A Full Halo Cme Is Likely Heading To Our Planet

The explosion might have hurled a halo CME toward Earth. Confirmation awaits data from SOHO coronagraphs. Radiation from the flare ionized the top of Earth’s atmosphere, causing a deep shortwave radio blackout over the West Australia, SE Asia, China, India, Indian Ocean, West Russia, Siberia and Middle East. Sunspot AR3784 also produced an M4.1 flare at 13/23:44 UTC and an M5.3 flare at 14/15:49 UTC. Region 3777 added an M4.4 flare at 14/04:02 UTC as it made its way around the western limb.
