Old Nessebar: A CITY to be TOLD! 👉We returned to Nessebar after 2 years. We had some emotions, but unwarranted: Old Nessebar is as we remembered, full of charm and just as well cared for. We tried to capture on film the charm of this “pearl“ of Bulgaria. 👉 Nessebar is a city on the Black Sea coast of Bulgaria, located in the province of Burgas. It is one of the oldest cities in Europe, with a history dating back to the time of the Thracians. Nessebar Old Town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its well-preserved ancient ruins, medieval churches and traditional Bulgarian houses. The city is divided into two parts: the new city, which is a modern seaside resort, and the old city, which is located on a small peninsula and is home to many historical and cultural landmarks. Some of the must-see attractions in Nessebar Old Town include the Church of St. Sophia, the Archaeological Museum, and the Ethnographic Museum. 👉It should also be said that Nesebar is considered one of the great resorts of the Bulgarian coast, hence the name “Pearl of the Black Sea“! Nessebar is a museum city with over three millennia of history.
