Released on cassette by recently minted Hungarian label Bál Records, this is a collaborative descent into a whirlpool of eddying madness, through the combine experimental perspectives of Salqiu and Sjálfsmorð af Gáleysi – two artists I have featured previously on the channel; Salqiu in particular in many of Nuno’s enigmatic and creative guises – though not to say Gunnar Þrumi’s project is any less imaginative or mind-bending. Both have absolute flair for controlling chaos into crushing black metal experimentalism, and together this collaborative split presents a Thunderclap side and a Cluster side, comprised of two tracks, each lasting exactly 666 seconds, that blend their unique arrangements into cohesive pandemonium.
