Piecrust and Dished Top Tea Table Building Process Part 1 by Doucette and Wolfe Furniture Makers. This video documents the turning of the post, the tapered sliding dovetail joinery, the shaping of the legs, carving of the ball and claw feet and carving of the Shell on the knee of the Piecrust Tea Table. Both Tables are made of solid mahogany with solid, one piece crotch mahogany tops. The finish on these tables is Royal Lac from . This is a highly durable modified shellac finish. The Piecrust table has a natural colored finish followed by super blonde royal lac. The dished top table has an aniline dye followed by super blonde royal lac.
