Pipeline Company Paid Cops To Arrest Protesters

Protests against pipeline companies have been getting increasing public attention since the large scale actions against the Dakota Access Pipeline in 2016. The companies have been pushing back, however, to the point where an international corporation like Enbridge, which moves dirty tar sands oil through its Line 3 pipeline in Minnesota, is now spending millions of dollars to pay police to arrest indigenous activists protesting pipelines. Jimmy and America’s comedian Kurt Metzger discuss the phenomenon of companies directly paying police and whether that approaches the definition of fascism.
