Essentially this was a re-working of the hugely successful Rough Trade single's release, that spent eons topping the UK Independent charts. Lu Edmonds played guitar on the track for the Spikey Dream Flowers album, but guitarist Kevin Armstrong appears in the video, also touring with the band at the time. Lu Edmonds is of The Damned and PIL, and with some interesting dabbling in to synthesiser territory from James Little (Jim Solar). A 12“ extended mix was produced by Wally Brill for release by A&M, but never released by A&M. The 12“ mix is here (on this channel- marshallstarvideo). This band superseded SpizzEnergi and Athletico Spizz '80. The line up was; Spizz - Vocals Clive Parker- Drums Lu Edmonds - played Guitar on the track, but Kevin Armstrong appears in the video Jim Solar - Bass, keyboards This was the line-up after the original band dissolved - Dave Scott and songwriter Mark Coalfield, (keyboards) had left the band. Kevin Armstrong went on to sign a solo deal with EMI, then play with David Bowie and Thomas Dolby amongst others. Clive Parker went on to play with Big Country & others. The video was shot at in a studio in Camden Town. The girls in the video were young fans recruited for the shoot. Web pages;
