As promised in the previous video, I have made this one on the Metal-Semiconductor contacts. Two types of metal–semiconductor contacts are commonly used in the fabrication of semiconductor devices and integrated circuits. They are the Schottky and ohmic contacts. A Schottky barrier contact exhibits an asymmetrical current–voltage characteristic while the ohmic contact, on the other hand, shows a linear I–V characteristic. I have also tried to give a brief idea about the case when we apply forward and reverse bias to the metal-semiconductor junction.
