DPRKs Ruling Party Opens First National Congress in 36 Years

The Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK), the ruling party of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK), opened its 7th National Congress on Friday. It is the first WPK national congress in 36 years and the first under the leadership of Kim Jong Un. Foreign journalists were not allowed to be close to the meeting venue and were arranged to do their job outside.
