Balneário Camboriú is a tourist city in the state of Santa Catarina, in southern Brazil. It is known for its tall buildings and beaches such as Praia Central. Bars, restaurants and shops border the Avenida Atlântica, an elegant tree-lined walkway next to the beach. Parque Unipraias is located at the mouth of the Camboriú River and offers views of the city from zip lines and cable cars. The Cristo Luz monument is a huge statue of Christ that looks down on the city from above.
