Yes yes it's finally here! 15 years of nekushiki! many seasons of StalkerPhones! and ten years of living this ship and having it as my number one! I can't believe it. I don't think I expected to love it this much for this long. I've had other strong ships for sure but in my mental list whenever I thought 'ok but do I love it more than neshiki' the answer always was no haha! and then inserting a neshiki au into that universe because that's fun Anyway, I wanted to be That editor. aka making the full length happy neshiki amv. Which is actually super super hard because if you think about it, in the game about 70% of their time together is still being at odds. the onscreen time of them actually and 30% of them actually liking and being smiley with each other. Aka I suppose the sped up friendliness in the anime is a blessing for this edit l I had several songs in mind for this but the winner was this one because it's got the perfect balance of happiness and angst as well for neshiki I was sad that I couldn't finish my twewy anni vid as I wanted so this is my comeback vid! hope you guys enjoyed! this is dedicated to Kazea and Aya especially for being my neshiki day partners in crime. hosting that and creating created AMV would have been impossible without you. To Mandi and Alto, my fellow founders who are also amazing people. I'm also dedicating this to skype crew because I've been dropping hints on my progress of this vid but never showing an actual WIP because I'm really proud of this and wanted you guys to see it at its best! that and your edits always inspire me and maybe you can guess which bits I channel you guys in (though it may not be obvious). more talk about the vid ahead but credits first! Intro, Part 1 (verse & chorus 1) Part 2 (verse & chorus 2), Part 3 ( bridge and instrumental) and then Part 5 (last chorus). my laptop would not survive otherwise. part one itself was layers so the full vid must have uh 300 or 400 ish layers HAHA. Intro - I wanted to showcase some of my fave neshiki artists so we've got art from Alto, Kazea and Mandi. These are probably also just my fave pieces of nekushiki from them so far as well. look at them. so soft. also the new year art cause it is so pretty. First verse - so it might not be super clear but the first phrases are from Shiki's voice. That's her being optimistic, or pretending to be. Still channeling a bit of Eri. with the second phrase we switch to Neku's narrative and how the reality of it was that she wasn't being genuine and was still keeping things in during their first five days together. first chorus - Neku's narrative and following the lyrics! but we use Shiki's thread transition motif cause we're filling Neku's world up. am happy with how this chorus turned out! a lot of soft Neku and Shiki second verse - Neku's going through it with all the revelations and such. All that Stuff. as the song says. we come back to Shiki's pov because she wants to be likeable and for Neku to become her friend so they could win the game together! second chorus - Shiki trying to get through the walls of our resident emo. did I reuse a ton of bits from the first chorus? yes. does it pay off? I believe so. the transitions are the paint wipes for Neku's graffiti! and ofc the puzzle pieces relate to Shiki's necklace. bridge - my halfway kind of resting point but I really like this section as well because angsty neshiki is Good and also I wanted to put in that Sota and Nao scene because them cheering Neku up for Shiki being his entry fee will never not warm my heart. instrumental - battle couple supremacy. I actually tried to put in voiceovers here but it didn't sound right. so no voiceovers this edit. I'm impressed with myself that I didnt because for a vid this long I'd usually have at least 3 or 4 final chorus - ALTOGETHER NOW! HEY! SHOW SOME LOVEEE YOU AIN'T SO TOUGH. COME! FILL MY LITTLE WORLD RIGHT UP RIGHT UP. SOME DAY YOU'RE GOING TO REALISE THAT I'M PASSING YOU BY SO FILL YOUR LITTLE WORLD RIGHT UPPP RIGHT UP RIGHT UPP. aka they're on the same page now and in love. the end THANK YOU FOR WATCHING AND READING THIS RAMBLE IF YOU ACTUALLY DID p.s.
