I know I said I'd do it but….huh so I actually did it. It's not like I planned on giving it up halfway or anything but I thought I'd end up too busy to do this…I guess it's a balance of work being quiet for this period, somehow, and me having nothing but TWEWY on the brain. That said you may or may not be able to tell that I'm super proud of having completed the twelve weeks! I'm sure this last video did not give any clue of that nope …nothing there…okay but for real, I feel like with a Marianas Trench song it's appropriate to put parts of my previously weekly edits in there, like they do for songs like Masterpiece Theatre and Dearly Departed. And since the title is 'Echoes of You' I think a throwback to the 'echoes' of the editing is appropriate. Anyone watching only this might be confused by the colours but if you were one of those who recognised what I was doing with it before my explanation -- THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR BEING HERE. I MEAN IT. Everyone's been so sweet about it, from my regular TWEWY enjoyers to some of my subs who still have no clue what twewy is but are enjoying the weekly uploads. So of course, this last one is dedicated to all of you who have been here with me through this. I still feel like this anime existing in the first place was a miracle. Only topped by the miracle of the sequel existing. It's true. It exists. I played the demo. I PLAYED THE DEMO. I'd like to run and find 2012 Dina and shake her and tell her dw she just has to wait 9 years but in return we also get a whole anime as a promo for the next game. Whoever greenlit that idea, I owe you my soul. Anyway, since it's only a promo anime/recap anime, there's a whole bunch of important stuff missing/changed from the game so if ya got the time please do check the original game out, as I always say it's on DS, iOS/Android (cheapest option) and the Switch. The free neo twewy demo is out right now too and it's been stated by the devs that you don't have to play the original to play the sequel so go go goooooo. SO. Thoughts on the actual finale. There were a number of upsides and downside which were overall equal. I wish we saw Joshua's dramatic entrance and him being included in the final battle because that was Peak in the game. And then his goodbye with the ever loyal I wanted to see Megumi tell Neku to save Shibuya ;-; Now that downside is offset by the throne room behind being filled with CAT designs because INTERESTING but more importantly. BEAT ATTEMPTING TO PUNCH JOSHUA. I think I asked for that? I'm pretty sure at some point I asked for that. HAHAHAHA. Beat representing Dina on her first playthrough. Also having Hanekoma say 'trust your partner' in Neku's 's an interesting take sure if I like that or not but it's interesting. I'll say it's more of a reminder to Neku on what he believes he should do rather than imprinting the command on him, in which case yeah can agree with that. Another downside I'd say is changing the positions where Hanekoma is talking with Joshua, kinda wanted to see them next to each other. And taking him out of his Composer I don't like that. 'Cause his Composer form shows that Hanekoma's pretty Up There to be able to take on his Vibe. THEN AGAIN, that scene had Joshua confronting Hanekoma about his betrayal and maybe we can take the distance as not wanting to actually look at each other while this convo is going 'll take that. In an objective view it makes sense for them to have the convo for anime-only viewers who won't be able to read secret reports, so glad they did that. Then you don't have Neku's anguished scream or the internal monologue which rounds off the game very . BUT OF COURSE. WE HAVE TALKING DURING THE END SCENE. Neku's happy tears at seeing Beat and Rhyme is 10/10. And at the end when he gives a thumbs gonna lie I thought he was doing it to the audience/players and I was like 'NEKU ;-;' but yes actually makes sense if it was to josh LOL the graffiti at the end is v cute too (though not so sure if it fits CAT's graffiti style but we'll let that slide lmao). ...you're waiting for it right? Alright - THAT FUCKING RG NESHIKI REUNION. HE TOOK OFF HIS HEADPHONES AFTER HE SAW HER. TO REINTRODUCE HIMSELF. BECAUSE HE'S REBORN BECAUSE HE'S CHANGED AND IS A NEW PERSON.
