Ties (1953)

Hampstead, London. M/S of a living room; an aspidistra sits on a table. C/Us of plants and flowers around the room. Tie designer Walter Koby picks up a mirrored box and takes it over to a table. He sits down and looks at several of his own tie designs. One tie was inspired by a rubber plant. Another has a leaf motif with a rhinestone in the centre. Three ties have several sparkling gems and tiny mirrors on them - one has a crown on it to celebrate the new Elizabethan age. Knitted ties - one has a crown and ER II on it. A silk tie has a picture of Buckingham Palace and the royal coach. Coronation fever fashions for men!
