Part 2 or 2: My apologies for the camera malfunction again (No ATC). This video is from Monday after Sun N Fun 2021 closes. This video captures the last 50 miles of the flight including a 45 entry to left downwind for 27 at Palatka (28J). Also, I thought I’d share my philosophy for flying the C310. Flying the Cessna C310 is best done by the numbers. The C310 is fun to fly and easy to land when operated by the numbers. In cruise, the settings are MAX MP (@8000 feet ~24 inches), 2300 RPM, 24 GPH for 165 to 175 knots IAS depending on temperature. In the winter, the NA (normally aspirated) C310 gets a boost with colder dense air down low and will beat book values. Conversely, in the hot mid summer, C310 will perform slightly less than book. In descent, pulling the throttle back until MP moves 2 inches will generally give ~500 FPM descent (adjust trim to hold).
