This video serves as a testament to the continued viability of general aviation as a commuting alternative to commercial aviation (airlines). Specifically, I flew from Palatka, FL (28J) to Manassas, VA (KHEF) for a late afternoon meeting at 5:30pm. I needed to be in the DC Metro area by 3pm to account for travel and traffic. The Cessna C310 performed wonderfully and a nice tailwind to boot. Fly along on this commercial airline beat down of 3:50 total time in the C310 and 5:50 total required for airline was a 30 knot tailwind for part of the flight and that helped also. Total costs for the airlines was cheaper by 25%. Price for airlines approx $500 and $650 for the Cessna C310 (direct operating costs only compared). Anyway, just a point of validation for GA use as commuters. Hipmunk Commercial Air Search #f=JAX;t=IAD;d=2017-10-31;r=2017-11-03;is_search_for_business=true FlightAware Flight Profile for C310
