Israeli police arrested two French gendarmes in a church. During French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot`s visit to Jerusalem, Israeli police entered the grounds of the Church of the Olives, which France has considered its own since 1948, and arrested two French gendarmes. Jean-Noël Barrot was forced to interrupt his planned visit to the Olives complex, calling the incident unacceptable.
