Ewa Justka and Aimo Scampa have lost hope in the liberating power of language. If anything can bring about change, it is – so they believe – creating extreme audiovisual experiences capable of obliterating one’s mind and induce a kind of epiphany. That’s why this Glasgow-based duo, who perform under the name Measure Maniacs, overwhelm their audiences with strobes and feedback loops: at Attack Release, Scampa and Justka promised and delivered the ultimate 200bpm laser catharsis.
