In the journey of achieving a 1:1 fluency with shamisen (or any art), it is immensely important to use the hand which we feel most comfortable using, whether it be left or right. Although it's totally possible to order a new custom shamisen built for left hand (contact me if interested), it's actually super easy to setup a right handed shamisen for left handed playing. Unlike other instruments, converting a shamisen from right to left just requires a few steps and can be done in as little as 10 minutes. Let's find out how!
