Ben Solomon tenor saxophone, Aaron Parks piano, Kanoa Mendenhall bass, RJ Miller drums With his new quartet, Aaron Parks returns to an acoustic format, after years of primarily touring with his genre-bending band Little Big. ‘There’s a book of unrecorded compositions of mine that I’ve been working on for some years now but have rarely performed outside of New York,’ he writes. ‘Music with something of a richer harmonic color palette, with rhythms ranging from the swinging to the meditative, and a lot of freedom to communicate and really improvise together as a band.’ He will perform this work together with Ben Solomon on tenor saxophone, Kanoa Mendenhall on bass, and RJ Miller on drums.
