Winnie-the-Pooh chapter 9 in which Piglet is entirely surrounded by water. Piglet, in his tree home after many days of heavy rain and flooding is marooned and unable to contact Winnie-the-Pooh, Christopher Robin or any of his other friends. Eventually, he devises to put a rescue message in a bottle and tossing it into the flood water in a desperate attempt to get rescued. Meanwhile, Winnie-the-Pooh was in a similar position at his flooded home and was coming to the end of his supply of honey. He took his largest pot with a lid, threw it into the water and floated off on top of it towards dry land. Along the way, he discovered Piglet's message in a bottle. He came ashore near Christopher Robin’s house. They read the rescue message and immediately set off using Christopher Robin’s upturned umbrella as a boat and rescued Piglet.
