Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz holds a joint media briefing with foreign counterparts in Vienna on Tuesday, March 16. The briefing comes following a working meeting on vaccine distribution in the EU with the PMs of Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Latvia and Croatia. Several European countries have temporarily halted the distribution of the Oxford-AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine over reported cases of blood clotting. The ban comes despite EMA continuing to recommend the vaccine for use, stating that its benefits outweigh the risks. Copyright © Bundeskanzleramt Österreich 2020
