Short term memory development in progress. The melody has 5 'MI's'. Our short memory can hold 5 /- 2 aural or visual objects. For a 3 year old girl (as well as for any adult) it is a little challenge to hear, determine, hold in mind 5 similar sounds. This exercise helps children to listen to and process auditory information, dramatically increase their concentration and focus skills necessary for their academic success. On this video Maria is learning how to listen to the melody and transfer the music sounds into phonics connected to the pictures and their syllables. This is a very foundation of the following skills development: focus on sounds, audio memory, ear training. This exercise promotes bold and strict connection between music sounds and their names.
