A Hawaiian island has been showered with 32ft-high lava fountains from an active volcano. The eruption of Kilauea, one of the world's most active volcanoes, began on Sunday in a remote area on the southern tip of Hawaii Island. The volcano's activity increased early Tuesday but, despite geologists recording 32ft-high lava fountains, officials said it does not present a threat to homes or residents.
