The world's newest volcanic island has just formed, and this occurred via a new eruption of Japan's Iwo Jima volcano. While the current brand new island stands at approximately 5 acres in size, it is likely to further expand over time. This video will discuss the possible length of the ongoing eruption by looking at past eruptions from the same vent, and given a broader context of this impressive volcanic complex.
