Available to buy at: or buy or rent and watch now: Moral responsibility - a soldier refuses to shoot innocent people and is shot himself. A film about individual moral responsibility. The Nazi troops are invading Yugoslavia; the young soldiers, after burning villages, enjoy a brief respite by a river. Then they are abruptly recalled to a firing squad for a mass execution. Against a mound of wheat the innocent peasants are lined up. One soldier refuses to shoot, and is ordered to take a place among those to be killed instead. This really happened, and the still pictures in the film were actually taken at the time by one of the soldiers. (July 19, 1941, The German 714th Wermacht Division execution at Orahovica). Can stimulate discussion on a very important subject. Distributed by Concord Media Website: Twitter: Facebook: Vimeo:
