this is my first attempt to record this amp with an SM57. SM57 - positioned over the ‘south-west’ edge of the cone, about from the grille. - into a focusrite scarlett 2i2 - hooked up to iphone 12 mini (via usb3.0 camera adaptor thingy - 5v supply to adaptor via iphone charger cable) TL;DR - it was setup so that when recording video on iphone - the audio signal is being fed from the scarlett 2i2 preamp. i don’t have any real video/audio production/editing skills, so this method works for now i guess. never really done this before with an SM57, hopefully this sounds better than my previous demos recorded with the built-in iphone mic, im not too sure.. details about the amp: it’s a soldano SLO100 inspired DIY amp. the preamp is a direct clone of the SLO100 lead channel, running into a 2x6L6 40W poweramp. built this in march 2021. - demo starts with gain at 7-8 o'clock, then i gradually turn it up to 10 o'clock, then an OD808 (DIY) overd
