Everly Brothers International Archive : Interview with Phil Everly (Dean Reed Special 1985)

In 1985 a documentary about Dean Reed (the Red Elvis) was released including an interview with one of his best friends, Phil Everly. Dean was a major star in the former Soviet countries and died under suspicious circumstances in 1986 only 47 years old. The Everlys met Dean while in acting school at Warners in the early 60s and Phil remained good friends with Dean over the years even visiting him in East Germany a couple of times in the late 70s and early 80s (clips of these shows can be found elsewhere on this channel as well as parts of another documentary about him which also includes Phil).
